We've all been there. We'd like to take a course to enhance our personal safety, but between work, family and chores it's hard to find the time. Your NRA understands that, and that's why we're excited to announce that the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course is now available online. Now, at your own convenience, you'll be able to learn the basics of pistol safety, handling and shooting techniques. You won't have to worry about traveling long distances, nor need you be concerned about looking like a "newbie" in front of others.

“America has more first time gun owners than ever and the NRA remains dedicated to being the number one provider of firearm training,” said Executive Director of NRA General Operations, Kyle Weaver. “Thanks to our online courses and network of more than 125,000 NRA Certified Instructors, it has never been easier to learn basic firearm skills.”

Designed and developed by NRA's experts, this web-based course takes a blended learning approach to firearms training with both online and physical components. You'll have 90 days to work through 11 online lessons at your own pace before registering for an NRA Certified Instructor-led phase at a local range to demonstrate your level of understanding and retention of course material.
