Nice Kitty

Another trail camera video has been making its rounds the last few days, and I figured it'd be a perfect way to go into the holiday weekend. It shows a "predator" of sorts running off a pair of whitetail.

The video, originally posted by LiveLeak user "Mullet Over," shows the deer getting spooked by none other than... a rather pedestrian house cat. Check out the embedded video below and get a look for yourself.

Hey, it happens. Cats have been known to run bears up trees. Wild animals are naturally leery the unknown—in this case, the whitetail are playing it safe and moving on to a clearing where they aren't being stalked by Garfield.

Still, given what we humans know of domesticated felines, it's worth a chuckle. Especially if you've ever had a run-in with a whitetail that you were pretty sure was going to end in some deer-on-human violence. Here we've got that same species fleeing from one rather fat and apathetic kitty.
